Last Sunday we gathered for a practical workshop as part of the Humelody project. Under the mentorship ofGuillermo and Katarina, we learned to shape ceramic cups and plates. While we molded the clay, we reflected on the importance of human rights and how they affect our everyday lives.
After this collective reflection, the participants chose one or more human rights that personally resonate with them, and wrote them down on their handmade piece. After finishing the design and decoration, Guillermo and Katarina took our creations to their studio in Ljubljana, where they were fired in the kiln twice to make them durable and ready for use. Once the process was completed, our products were available for collection.

The idea for the workshop was simple yet powerful: by using something we made with our own hands – marked with the human rights that matter to us – we will carry a daily reminder of their importance. This is a way to keep our values close to our hearts and remember more often what is truly important and how to achieve it. At the workshop, we created with purpose.
