WHEN?
June 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM.
WHERE?
SEM – Slovene Etnographic Museum, Metelkova ulica 2 Ljubljana.
As part of the HUMELODY EU project, we warmly invite you to an music workshop designed for young migrants.
Join us for a creative clay workshop where art meets awareness!
In this hands-on session, we’ll learn how to shape and create our own ceramic bowl or cup, perfect for your tea or coffee at home. As we mold the clay, we’ll also reflect on the meaning of human rights and how they influence our daily lives.
After this group reflection, each participant will choose one or more human rights that resonate personally and inscribe them onto their handmade piece. There will be full freedom to decorate and personalize your bowl or cup however you like—each one will be unique, just like our stories and perspectives.
The workshop will be guided by Guillermo and Katarina, who will help you through every step of the creative process. After the session, they will take your pieces to their studio in Ljubljana to be fired in the kiln—twice—so they become durable and ready to use. Once finished, your unique creations will be brought back for collection.

The idea behind this workshop is simple yet powerful: by using something you made with your own hands—marked with human rights that matter to you—you’ll carry a daily reminder of their importance. It’s a way to keep your values close and reflect more often on what truly matters and how to pursue it.
Let’s create with purpose!
